Job Placement

We at Landman 101 are pleased to be able to offer our students assistance in finding jobs. Many of our students have gotten jobs through our referral program. Currently we have 22 brokers/companies who review candidates for jobs.

See the comments from both brokers and students listed at the bottom of this page.

How it Works

Students who have paid their own tuition (not paid by their company) and who successfully complete the course (satisfactory full attendance and class participation and who pass the exam) will at their request be listed on our “Broker List”. The list is sent to a number of brokers or companies who employ Landmen as subcontractors. Although many of our students have gotten jobs by being listed, we do not collect statistics on the exact number.

Each student is allowed to submit a ONE PAGE resume to be forwarded to the brokers on our list. You should be certain that your resume is easily readable, use large print and do not try to put too much information in a small space. Submit it to us at the end of class on Sunday.

Note: We make no representation or guarantee regarding the quality of the brokers or the working conditions. Each student is encouraged to exercise reasonable judgment before accepting employment from any broker.

“Second Chance Program”

Previous graduates of Landman 101 can resubmit their resumes to be included on the next distributed broker list by mailing us a copy of their current resume and a photocopy of their Landman 101 Certificate along with a nominal fee of 40 dollars for handling. Mail to:
Patricia C. Nowak, CPL
P.O. Box 1189
Gladewater, TX 75647

Broker Comments

Pat,
Thanks for sending these (lists of students seeking jobs). I also appreciate your comments. I’m e-mailing several to see if they are available. Keep up the good work.

Pat:
Just thought you might want to know that (Company Name) has put two graduates from your 2005 classes to work as field landmen and they have both been doing exceptional work. As our projects continue to expand, it goes without saying that so will our need. Please continue to provide me with your lists, and thanks for doing an invaluable service for the industry. ET

Pat,
I need two or more people for a South Texas project if you know of anyone…that have gone through your seminar…and have at least six months to a year or more experience.

Student Comments

(Broker Name) called me yesterday about a job. Thank you so much for giving him my contact info.! Thank you also again for everything I learned in the Landman 101 class. It’s enabled me to perform at a higher level than I could have otherwise. Since the class, I’ve gotten a raise and am now leasing, as well as abstracting, etc.

I got a call today from (Land Manager). He is with (Company Name). And is wanting to meet with me …

Pat,
Today I got a call from (Land Manager) with (Company Name) and I know that it must be because I was listed on your broker list for the Landman 101 class….
